This ensures that lost keys cannot be traced to a specific property.
All client keys are stored:
In a secure location
Away from public access
Separate from client address information
Keys are only accessed when required for scheduled services.
When keys must be transported:
Keys are kept secure at all times
Keys are not left unattended in public places
Keys are not stored in vehicles overnight
Keys are only carried when required for scheduled visits.
Pet Getaway maintains a Key Register recording:
Client name
Key identification code
Date key received
Date key returned
This ensures accountability and tracking of all client keys.
In the unlikely event that a key is lost:
The client will be informed immediately.
Reasonable efforts will be made to locate the key.
If required, locks may be changed for security.
Where applicable, insurance procedures will be followed.
Pet Getaway maintains appropriate insurance cover for key loss where required.
Keys may be returned:
Upon client request
If services are terminated
At the end of a contract period
The return will be recorded in the Key Register.
Clients are responsible for ensuring:
Keys provided allow safe access
Alarm instructions are clearly explained
Any access restrictions are communicated
Client property access information is treated as confidential.
